Benefits of Massage Therapy
Nov. 06, 2008 *

Recently a client asked me, "What exactly are all the benefits of regular massage?"
I'm sure she's not the only one interested, so here are a few:

-          Lower blood pressure

-          Release chronic muscular tension and pain

-          Reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress

-          Promote faster healing of injured muscle tissue

-          Improve posture     -Increase Metabolism

-          Promote better sleep  - Improve concentration & mental clarity

-          Create an overall sense of well-being

-     Bring oxygen and nutrients to the cells as it enhances the removal of metabolic waste.

-          Breaks down unwanted fibrous adhesions (trigger points, knots) thereby restoring mobility to muscles

-          Reduces tension bringing renewed energy

-          Beneficial in keeping the skin functioning in a normal, healthy manner

      -          Reduce/ Manage anxiety, depression & Insomnia

-          Increase joint flexibility

-          Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation in blood.

-          Reduces spasms and cramping

-          Reduces post-surgery adhesions and swelling

-          Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles

-          Relieve Migraine pain

-          Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow- the body’s natural defense system.

We'd love to hear what you have experienced from massage therapy.  We've heard so many wonderful things: One client who hasn't been seriously ill since she started receiving regular massage, to one who feels he makes better decisions after massage because of increased mental clarity, and another who has never felt better in her whole life!

Wishing you peace and happiness today and always,
Alisha
